Emily Spring Ladybugs

Today is going to be such a busy day that I just want to go back to bed and pull the covers over my head. I have a wedding and prom today. While my son is getting his hair cut, I am posting this last minute entry to Lacy Sunshine's "Make it Feminine" challenge:

This is Emily Spring Ladybugs from Lacy Sunshine. She is colored with copics as are the sentiment and darker flowers. I used Wink of Stella pens to add glitter to the image and sentiment and stickles to the larger flowers. The leaves are a Martha Stewart punch. I think it is called "Frond" but don't remember. The two ladybugs are from a stamp set by Stampendous called Daisy Thanks.

                                                                      Fred, She Said

Fred, She Said
Prize: 2 images of choice to winner
Doctor Digi
Here is the original layout created by Cathy:

Here is my twist using a "circle", the striped DP, and the swirly bling:

The image that I used is by Fred She Said and is called "The Old Truck". I tied it into the layout by pumpkin stamps around the wheels and peeking out of the back of the truck. The DP is from My Minds Eye. For my "circle" I traced a diecut jack o lantern onto orange cardstock and then drew around it to make a frame. The image is colored with copics. I used Ranger alcohol ink silver metallic on the bumper and grill for a metal look. I used 3-D Crystal Lacquer on the windows for a glass effect.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you'll join us in this challenge. Click the link on the sidebar to go to the blog.

April Mingles Card

Shhh! This is the card that my Mingles partner will receive. I just mailed it today. Normally, I would have posted later but I want to enter the Magnolia-licious challenge "Flowers".

The image is Tilda with egg and chicken and is colored with copics. She is mounted on Spellbinders Nestabilities Decorative Tags 8 frame. The sentiments are from the same die set and were done on the computer on white cardstock and colored with copics also. The cross hearts are from the Cricut cartridge New Testament. They are cut at 1"  and colored with copics. I then used Cinnamon stickles on the cross. I painted the heart with USArtQuest paint, covered with Gloss PPA and sprinkled with Opal Essence Glitter. The lace is from Walmart I think. The flowers came from Michaels. I tied ribbon onto a Tim Holtz Memo pin and inserted it into the bouquet. The leaves are done using a Magnolia  Heart Swirl Die.  The heart DP is some old paper from a Creative Memories set. I've had it for a long time.

Using Scraps

This month's Card Club theme is Use Your Scraps. We had to make 3 cards using scraps of paper. Everyone likes to do the inside of the cards and make matching envelopes, so be warned-this has lots of pics and is kind of long. I listed the challenges for each card under each one. Here is what I came up with:

Card #1

The strips of DP were scraps that I had saved. I stamped the image (Soccer Edwin from Magnolia) on a bigger piece of white scrap cardstock. I also used white scraps to do a second soccer ball which I popped over the image. I printed the sentiment using Microsoft Word. I printed it on paper, placed a piece of scrap white cardstock over it and reprinted onto the cardstock. Then I used a punch. I inked the punched piece with coordinating ink from Close To My Heart. On the inside of the card I took a scrap strip of white cardstock and made the soccer border using a different soccer ball and a masking technique. I used the same masking to do the envelope. The image was colored with Close To My Heart ink and Copics.
This card is being entered into:
Card #2

The image is Penelope Pansy from Lacy Sunshine. She is colored with copics and glitzed up with Wink Of Stella glitter pens and stickles. The scraps on this card are the flowers and leaves punches and the Memory Box Die. The circle is the center piece from the die. I used it for the sentiment. Pearls add a touch of glamour I think. I used a pearl pen on the envelope because I thought it might stay on better. Envelopes tend to get some rough handling sometimes and the adhesive on the back of the pearl dots don't always stick very well.
This card is going into the following:
Card #3

The inside:

The envelope:
The scraps for this card are the dogwood blossoms. I used white cardstock. I stamped the image of bigger group and cut them out. The individual flowers were stamped using the same stamp. I just used smaller scraps and cut out just the flowers that I wanted. This stamp is actually from a Hero Art/Sizzix stamp and die set but since I was using small scraps, I cut them all out by hand instead of trying to use the die to cut out the bigger piece. The bird image is from Stampendous and is stamped on White cardstock. I inked the whole piece with Antique linen Distress ink and colored it and the dogwood with distress ink as well. Vintage Photo was applied around the outside of the cardstock. I used Wink Of Stella glitter pens and stickles on the flowers and leaves.
Here's the challenge for this one:
I apologize for the length, but as you can see, I was pretty busy:)

Love To Scrap Challenge 27 "Anything Goes"!

Welcome to another great challenge at Love To Scrap Challenge Blog. This time it is everyone's favorite "Anything Goes"! Our sponsors this time are:

$10 gift certificate

$10 gift certificate

My image is from Sweet Stamps and is called "In Her Easter Bonnet" The sentiment is also from Sweet Stamps. It is cut out using Spellbinders Floral Ovals die.

I used distress ink to color around the image. Wink Of Stella pens add glimmer to floral cuts and the bonnett. I like how the bonnet turned out. I wish you could see the glitter. The flowers came from Michaels in their floral section. I hotglued them onto the card after cutting them off of the stems. I used stickles on them to glam them up. The sentiment is also cut from the small Floral oval die. The lace is from WalMart. I don't remember where the inside saying comes from. I bought it at the Memories Expo in Columbus one year. The corners are done with a Creative Memories corner punch.
I hope you can join us for Anything Goes!
Here are the challenges I am entering: Flowers or Buttons and Bows (I hope the bow on her bonnet qualifies)
